Angel Ryan Otto

May 21, 1993 - June 11, 2007

It is with a heavy heart I must inform you that Ryan got his wings and went to heaven on Monday, June 11th 2007. Only now he is cancer free!!!

Ryan's Story:

Ryan was first diagnosed with a brain tumor in the frontal lobe, On June 19, 2004. It was removed and found to be a Glioblastoma Multiforme grade 4. Ryan received radiation, chemo and undergone 2 1/2 years without a problem. He began having headaches in September 2006, but was not diagnosed with a new tumor until December 2006. The tumor returned in the same place and we later found out he also has an inoperable tumor in the temporal lobe. They removed most of the returning tumor, but were unable to completely resection it, as doing so may cause more damage to Ryan's motor skills.  Ryan has received radiation and chemotherapy again. Ryan has never had to have a port and his blood counts have been very good. He had to be hospitalized the first of April due to dehydration. He had started a new chemo drug along with his other one, and Ryan lost his appetite and became nauseous even to look at food. They put Ryan back on steroids and he is doing much better. He returned to school this week and is going half days. Ryan has a great outlook on life.
